Mr. Arthur Lee Rouser Jr.

ROUSER, Mr. Arthur Lee Jr. - Age 87, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services commencing at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., Pastor Oscar Hare, officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 11:00 AM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Mr. Rouser will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Arthur was born on December 4, 1932 in Madison, MS, the son of Arthur Lee Rouser, Sr. and Christine (Irvin) Rouser. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Buck in 1952, he served in the Korean war and received an Honorable Discharge. Arthur and Bobbie came to Flint in 1955 where he worked at General Motors V-8 Engine plant, retiring after 38 years of service. He was a member and faithful servant of Cross Missionary Baptist Church where he was affectionately referred to as “Deke”. Arthur Lee Rouser Jr. leaves to cherish memories that will never be forgotten by: his wife of 67 years, Bobbie J. Rouser; children, Mr. Clifton (Ann) Brown, Madison MS, Ms. Patricia Rouser of Las Vegas NV, Mr. Ivan (Donna) Rouser of Flint, Ms. Gheretta Harris of Big Rapids MI; grandchildren. Mr. Chervais (Deanna) Rouser of Las Vegas NV, Mr. Adrian Brown and Ms. Ericka Brown, both of Madison MS, Mr. Nathaniel Rouser of Flint, Mrs. Naomi (Justin) Reid of Whitmore Lake MI, Ms. Yakira Rouser and Ms. Tiffany Rouser, both of Flint, Mr. William Harris, Jr and Ms. Andraya Harris, both of Madison Heights, MI, Ms. Samantha Buck of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Chadai, Kingston, Sincere, Serenity, Amare’, Maurice, Mackenzie, Aaleeyah, Leah and SaNaiya; sisters, Ms. Charlene Rouser of Flint, Mrs. Maxine (Leroy) Thurman, Mrs. Thelma (Albert) Powell, all of Madison, MS, Mrs. Catherine (Tyrone) Ford-Benn, Mrs. Debra (Gary) Martin, all of Canton, OH; brothers, Mr. James (Mildred) Rouser of Flint and Mr. Alvin (Jeanette) Rouser of Madison, MS; many dear nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend, Mr. Richard (Louise) Scott of Flint. Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Mr. Trevis Rouser; grandson, Mr. Wayne Rouser; parents, Arthur and Christine Rouser.
