McGEE, Mr. Arthur Jr. "Putt" - Age 62, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, a Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, October 8, 2022, at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Norman McLemore, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. McGee will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Arthur McGee Jr. affectionately known to his family as “Putt” was born on September 28, 1960 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Sr. and Clementine McGee. He graduated from Flint Beecher High School, “Class of 1978.” Mr. McGee Jr. worked in Management for 30 years and his last 10 years was at Kroger. He excelled in Management whereas he was an intricate asset to Kroger. Mr. McGee’s family had a favorite nickname that they called him which was “Google.com” because he had a photographic memory and was brilliant. Arthur was an avid fisherman, hunter, skater, and dancer. If you knew “Putt” you understood his hilarious jokes that made everyone laugh and lit up the room along with his thunderous laughter. He adored his beautiful wife, heart to heart and hip to hip they traveled the world to enjoy its beauty and their everlasting memories together. Mr. Arthur McGee Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted wife of 10 years, Mrs. Pamela Boss-McGee; daughter, Tiffany McGee of Detroit, MI; 4 sons, Tyjuan Arthur (Jessica) Houston of Hampton, VA, Antonio McFarlan and Arthur McGee III, both of Atlanta, GA, and Glenn Cosey of Flint; he also leaves 10 grandchildren, Nyla, Mariah, De’Jure, Isabella, Jocelyn, Mia, Eyanla, Antonio, Brooklyn, and Taylor; father, Arthur (Diane) McGee Sr.; mother-in-law, Carolyn Baylor; 2 brothers, Darryl McGee and Omar (Teresa) McGee, all of Los Angeles, CA; 4 sisters, Latrell Person, Lela (Eric) Harvey, Theresa (Jerry) Walker and Mary (Keith) Gray; brother-in- law, Pierce Baylor II; 3 sisters-in-law, Patrice (Chako) Tidwell and Tonika Baylor, all of Flint, April Baylor of LaVergne, TN; special uncle, Leon Johnson; 2 special cousins, Troy Campbell and Bo King; special friend, Mike Jones; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and other friends, including the Beecher and Flint communities. Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Clementine McGee; father-in-law, Mr. Pierce Baylor; sister, Dorothy Jean Mosley; brother-in-law, Anthony Person; sister-in-law, Kimberly Ann Boss.
