COX, Mr. Arnell D. "A.D." - Age 69, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, November 5, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Robert D. Jones officiating. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Monday. Mr. Cox will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 9AM-6PM Sunday. Mr. Arnell D. "A.D." Cox was born November 25, 1937 in Woodstock, TN, the son of Mr. Willie Cox and Osie Hayes Cox. He was a resident of Flint, Michigan and attended Northern High School graduating in 1956. Arnell served in the United States Marine Corp and was Honorably Discharged in 1958. He also worked at Fisher Body Plant # One. Arnell enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Motorcycles. He enjoyed life to its fullest. Mr. Arnell D. "A.D." Cox leaves to cherish his memory: companion, Michael Ann Banks; 2 daughters, Regina Ann Banks and LaTonia Banks; 4 sons, Darnell Banks, Darrow Cox, Antonio Rush all of Flint and Larry Banks of Flint Twp.; 12 grandchildren, Sarina Banks, Daja Banks, Dominque Banks, Veldez Banks, Jeremiah Banks, Nahum D. Cox, Javon Banks, Vanessa N. Cox, Chavez Banks, Sean S. Hutchinson, Trevon Banks and Cordell J. Harris; 4 sisters, Ms. Osie Hill of Los Angeles, CA, Vera J. Cox of Toledo, OH, Ellawece Jones of Memphis, TN and Ora Mae Scott of Flint, MI; 2 brothers, David (Barbra) Cox of Flint and Elroy Cox of Dayton, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, J. C. Gibson, Moochie, Carolyn Gibson, Matt Quarles, Lottie, Betty, Tee Tee, Betty J. Grey, Shelia King and Gloria Burns. Mr. Arnell D. "A.D." Cox was preceded in death by his mother, Osie Cox; father, Willie Cox; 5 brothers, Edward Cox, Willie Cox, Jr., Arthur Cox, Leroy Cox and Marcellus Cox.
