Mrs. Arlene Marie Cannon

CANNON, Mrs. Arlene Marie - Age 51, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Cannon will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Public viewing during family hour only. Mrs. Arlene (Boone) Cannon was born on April 29, 1965, the second twin to Clifford & Addie Jean Boone. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, where she spent her youngest years. Her family later moved to Flint, Michigan, where she attended Flint Community Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age. Arlene was a warm and loving person with a sensitive nature. She obtained her GED in 1990 and later became a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. She had a strong compassion for dogs, always having one as a pet. She enjoyed skating, fishing, reading, movies and especially family gatherings. Her life was centered around her family and close friends. She will be remembered by her quick smile and witty sense of humor. Mrs. Arlene Cannon leaves to cherish her memory: a loving husband, Barry Neal Cannon; son, Barry Neal (Brittany) Boone; granddaughters, Braziil Ne’Ale Boone and Journei Carter, all of Flint; father, Clifford Boone of Missouri; sisters, Candice Boone of Flint, Stephanie Morgan of Indiana, and Bernadette Boone of Ohio; brother, Clifford (Portia) Boone of Virginia; mother-in-law, Emma Allison of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Allison of Illinois and Donielle Bryant of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Anthony (Toyi) Allison of Tennessee; niece, Candisha J. Boone-Tolbert; nephews, Avontez D. Boone, Stephen Morgan, Sean Morgan, Paul Alba and Nicholas Baun; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends survive. Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by her mother, Addie Jean Boone; grandparents, Otha & Eddie Maude Hunter; twin sister, Carlene Boone; two aunts, Virginia Coleman and Drew Lillian McClellan; Ida “Big Mama” Kendrick; two sisters-in-law, Andreal Cannon and Jacqueline Palmer.
