Mrs. Arlean Turner

TURNER, Mrs. Arlean - Age 82, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 in New London, Connecticut. Mrs. Turner will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Tuesday, April 7, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Mrs. Arlean Turner was born September 25, 1937 in Gregory, Arkansas, the daughter of Ted W. and Viola B. Turner. Arlean resided in New London, CT, but was originally from Flint, Michigan. She was a member of Refuge Temple Church of Flint. Ms. Turner aka Mrs. Vaughn to some; loved the Lord and was very active in the church. She loved children and always was fussing or correcting them. She was mostly known as Mrs. Vaughn of Vaughn’s Rib House on M.L. King Ave. Mrs. Arlean Turner leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Shawnee Foster and Sherrie Foster; 2 sons, Berlin Turner and Robert Lee Turner; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; 7 brothers; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, Ted W. and Viola B. Turner; 2 sisters, Irene Bryant and Victoria Turner; 2 brothers, Ted Turner Jr. and James Turner. The family would like to express special thanks to Sheila Rush, LaShunda Robinson, Durrell Whaley, UNA of South Eastern Connecticut Masonic and Hospice and special friend, Rev. The prohibition on assemblages set forth in this section does not apply to: The prohibition set forth in this section does not abridge protections guaranteed by the state or federal constitution under these emergency circumstances.
