Mr. Arden Paschal

PASCHAL, Mr. Arden - Age 82, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Heritage Manor. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Lively Stone COGIC, 1023 Pettibone Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Elder Gene Buggs officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Paschal will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home,906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday. Elder Arden Paschal was born January 29, 1934 in Magnolia, Arkansas. He was the son of Willie May McGraw and Murphy Paschal. Arden attended Central and Muskegon Heights High Schools. He was also a graduate of Bible College. He worked for General Motors at the Chevrolet plant in downtown Flint for 32 years. While working for General Motors, he held multiple titles, some of which included Supervisor and Quality Training Leader. Arden was a passionate, kind and loving father. He had a love for people. He loved the Lord with all his heart and he put God first in EVERYTHING he did. Arden loved many things, he was a bible scholar who loved digging into the word and pulling out the embedded truth. He also loved to smile, KFC chicken tenders and he had a deep sincere love for his family. Arden will truly be missed. Elder Arden Paschal leaves to cherish his sweet memory: wife of 61 years, Lula Jean Paschal; 2 daughters, Vanessa Hill and Ericka Paschal, all of Flint; son, Arvin (Shelley) Paschal of Warren, MI; grandchildren, Jermaine Paschal, Talita Hill, Tomika Hill, Kortez Toles, Thomas Toles, Jr., all of Flint, Arron Paschal, Adrian Paschal and Andre Sigur all of Warren, MI, Tashanda Hill of TN, Twanda Paschal of Milwaukee, WI, Dominique and Danielle Paschal; a host of great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Liz Mitchell of Flint, Helen (Gene) Paschal of Muskegon, MI, and Vera Phillips of Menden, LA; 3 sisters-in-law, Pinky Harrington, Shirley Jackson and Bessie Peavy all of Milwaukee, WI; 3 brothers-in-law, Johnell Peavy of Milwaukee, WI, Leroy Mitchell of Muskegon and Dr. Roy G. Phillips of Menden, LA; a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends including special friends, Travis, Donald and Stanley Gilbert, Deacon Gilmore, Pastor Gene Buggs, Pastor Eric Lewis, Mr. Willie Davis, Antwan Martin, Jennifer Johnson, Ron and Vivian Boyd and Liz Mitchell. Elder Paschal was preceded in death by his son, Marlon Paschal; parents, Murphy and Willie Mae Paschal; sisters, Clara, Murt, Fannie, Vernell, Rebecca, Augusta and Delores and brother, Pierce Paschal, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to our family, friends, Hurley Medical Center, Heritage Manor Hospice, McLaren Hospital and Divita Dialysis at Hallwood Plaza.
