Mr. Antony Corthion

CORTHION, Mr. Antony - Age 28, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, in Jackson, MS. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, October 18, 2024, at First Union Baptist Church, 7004 Fleming Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Danny Green, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Corthion will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2024, with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Antony Corthion “Tony” was born on January 22, 1996 at Hurley Medical Center, in Flint, Michigan, to parents, Larry Hill and Alisa Bush. Baptized at an early age and was a member of Rock of Asia Missionary Baptist Church. Antony grew up in Flint where he graduated from Flint Northern High School. Antony “Tony” was very intelligent. He maintained all A’s throughout high school, which lead to an opportunity for him to graduate head of his class and to receive a college scholarship. In 2014, Antony “Tony” relocated to Jackson, MS to attend Rust College. He was self employed working in construction and as a repairman. “Tony” liked to repair things, especially bikes. Antony’s hobbies included, music, gardening, he could repair most things, sport (expecially basketball(, workaholic, gift of gab (great debater). He loved his family making certain to stay in contact whether it be a phone call, letter, or social media. His children, Karter and Antony Jr. were to love of his lfie, he enjoyed the times he shared with them. Mr. Antony Corthion “Tony” leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sons, Karter “Peanut” Corthion of Holly Springs, MS and Antony Corthion “Jellybean” Corthion Jr. of Jackson, MS; step-son, Kyson Finley of Olive Branch, MS; parents, Larry Hill and Alisa Bush; grandmother, Amanda Corthion Bush; grandfather, Johnny Riouse; 7 sisters, Larryah Hill, Kaneisha Hill, both of Flint, Antonyque Hill of Mt. Morris, MI, Andrea (Donnell) Shepard of Rochester Hills, MI, Krystal Godwin, Beonca Allen and Destinee Godwin, all of Flint; 11 brothers, Dante’ Armour of Raleigh, NC, Taiwan (Natasha) Armour of North Carolina, Jason Henson of New Jersey, Christian Godwin, Joseph (Renisha) Catron, Dewayn (Kristina) Allen, Chandler Corthion, Anthony Sharpe, Jason Sharpe, all of Flint, MI, Isiah Alvin of Detroit, MI and Nathaniel Godwin Jr. of Flint; a host of other relatives including special cousins, Herbert McGowan, Tywane Green, Antwain Jones and Tyrese Croom; mothers of his children, Wytisha Finley and Kapri Davis. Mr. Corthion was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leroy Hill and Joseph Bush; grandmother, Elizabeth Hill; aunts, Verleena Lyon and Martha Corthion Riouse. The family would like to express special thanks to Twyla Stockman and the entire Hill family.
