STEWART, Mrs. Antoinette - Age 69, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith, 3401 M.L. King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Dist. Eld. Phillip Thompson, Host Pastor, Pastor Seon Thompson, Officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mrs. Stewart will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday. Mother Antoinette Stewart, the daughter of Charles Dennis and Annie M. Wagner, was born June 16, 1950 in Flint MI. She attended Flint Public Schools and was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1969.” Mother Stewart was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Secret Place Tabernacle Church, under the leadership of Eld. Nathan Dennis, where she loved working and serving the Lord. She was employed at Lucas Cirteck for many years until her health no longer allowed her to work. Mother Stewart, (affectionately called BeBe/Poochie), loved arts and crafts and often made her own greeting cards with her famous signature “the butterfly ”. She also loved to travel, especially to Texas to see her daughter and family. Shopping was her favorite thing to do, so when she said her favorite line, ”let’s go to the store”, you knew what that meant. Mother Stewart loved her entire church family and each member was special to her in their own way. She truly wanted the best for everyone. In return, she was loved by many people and will be deeply missed! Mother Stewart leaves in God’s hands: 2 sons, Eld. Nathan Dennis and Mr. Norval (Tiffany) Washington; 2 daughters, Ms. Nessandra Washington and Mrs. Nafeesa (Darrick) Collins; sister, Edith Richards; 5 brothers, Mr. Charles “Junior” Garvin, Mr. Felton “Jimmy” Morgan, Pastor Will (Debra) Morgan, Mr. Wynn (Kimberly) Morgan and Rashard Wagner; 6 grandchildren; Nakkia and Nijel Miles, Deanna (LCpl Marquis) Collins-Jones, Naceonna Tyler, Nicholas Washington and Leslie Washington; 1 great-grand child, A’Mari Miles; God-children; Evang. Brenda Calderon, Evang. Bridget Burgess, Kimberly (Jim) Thompson, Cookie Lewis, Jennifer Scott and Teresa & Shakora McCoy; very close friends, Karen Willis, Evang. Patricia McKenzie, Marie Washington and Janet Matthews; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends including special friend, Sabrina Dickey and prayer companion, Charisse Pringle. Mother Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. R.L. (Rel) Stewart; mother, Annie Wagner; step-father, Robert Wagner; father, Felton Morgan; sister; Patricia Dennis; aunts: Ms. Virginia Davis, and Mother Josephine Powell; uncles, Mr. Wilbur, Mr. Henry and Mr. Hubert Garvin; best friend, Julia Carr-Moye and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
