CUMMINGS, Ms. Antionette S. - Age 35, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Bishop Odis A. Floyd Host Pastor, Eld. John Thornton officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Ms. Cummings will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Tuesday. Ms. Antoinette Savon Cummings known as “Tawana” was born March 27, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Jessie Mae Cummings and Percy Richardson, Sr. Antoinette attended Northern High School and took up nursing. She was a very loving and caring person and would speak to everyone she knew and didn’t know. Antoinette truly loved her family and wanted to spend as much time as she could with them. When someone visited her it made her day. She was a giving person even though she didn’t have much, the things she gave were always nice things, Antoinette wasn’t cheap at all. She loved shopping for clothes, shoes, purses, makeup ect. Antoinette would light up like a child in a candy store when she shopped. She had a child like personality that’s what made her so unique. Antoinette loved to look pretty and was a very clean person. She hated the fact that she had to depend on other to take care of her, that wasn’t part of Antoinette personality. She struggled with that part, because she always done for herself. Antoinette loved reading her Bible, listening to spiritual cds and going to church when she could. Antoinette was a genuine person. “Tawana” will be tremendously missed and loved by her family and friends and she will never ever be forgotten. She leaves in God’s care: her memory: 2 daughters, Zena Denise Ward and Aniyah “Lenea” Taylor; 2 sons, Antonio Cummings Jefferson and Antwan “Herman” Taylor; parents, Jessie Mae Cummings and Percy Richardson; grandmother, Madea Davis; 2 sisters, Renee Terry and Barbara West; 4 brothers, Douglas, Jerry and Percy Cummings and Terry Richardson; 5 nieces, Yolanda Cummings, Gabrielle Cummings, Breona Terry, Trenea Terry and Heavenlyn Cummings; 8 nephews, Tywan Terry, Trentice Terry, Jr., Percy Gloster Cummings, George West, Jr., Jerry Cummings, Jr., Cortez, Omar and Jamal Cummings; a host of aunts including special aunt, Clara Beal; a host of uncles including special uncle, Paul Richardson; 2 brothers-in-law, Trentice Terry and George West, Sr.; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Ms. Cummings was preceded in death by her aunts, Beatice Bailey, Bobbie Reed and Cloe T. Gibson; uncle, James Gibson; and cousins, Keith Sibley, Donald Russle, Calvin Sibley and Carrie Gibson.
