PLAYER, Mr. Anthony W. "T-Bag" - Age 49, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at his residence. Family hour 10AM Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Eld. Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Tuesday. Mr. Player will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mr. Anthony Wayne "T-Bag" Player was born on July 28, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Emmie Don and Ellen (Hodge) Player, Sr. Anthony was a 1976 graduate of Flint Northwestern where he excelled in wrestling and football and was employed at Chevrolet Truck and Bus. Anthony loved cracking jokes and panning on his friends and family even strangers. He was an excellent chess player and enjoyed fishing, swimming, and playing on the computer especially Texas hold'em. Anthony had a heart of gold and a smile that was just as amazing. He loved to take care of his family and friends. Mr. Anthony Wayne Player leaves to cherish his memories: children, Shayla (Mario) Harris of TX, and Tanisha Ford of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Deandre and Robert; father, Emmie Don Player, Sr.; siblings, Jackie (Cookie) Player of Milwaukee, WI, E. Don (Alice) Player, Jr. of Lansing, MI, Johnnie (Patricia) Player, Erma Adekunle, Ricky (Pauline) Player, all of Flint, Van C. Player (Tracy) of New York, NY and Elizabeth (Grant) Peoples; many nieces and nephews including special extended family members, Perkins Hodge, Clevester "PaPa" Rison, Darrell Sutton, Terri Miller, Malcolm Payne, Cathy Edwards and Wanda Hudson; special daughters of the heart, Tamaria and America who will all miss him dearly. Anthony was preceded in death by his loving mother, Ellen C. Player; grandparents, Jackson and Ameria Hodge and Tony and Lillie B. Player; nephew, Michael Player. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Clarence Williams and staff, Dr. Krivitsky, Dr. Tolia and special caregiver Mrs. Mary Akins.
