PERSON, Mr. Anthony Lamont - Age 63, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Robert Parish, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Wednesday. Mr. Person will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday.Mr. Anthony Lamont Person Sr. was born May, 13, 1958 in Wilson, North Carolina, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert and Aliner (Jones) Person, Sr. Mr. Person known as aka “Boo” had been a resident of Flint since 1968. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1977. Mr. Person was employed by General Motors for 28 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his family. Each yearly (family) fishing trip, was exciting and he shared his catch at the annual fish cook out. Boo was an attentive and affectionate family man, and those who knew him; witnessed the love he serenaded upon his wife. He left upon the hearts of those he loved, the best sayings and slogans that related to life. Mr. Anthony Lamont Person Sr. leaves to cherish in memory: his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Latrell Person; 3 sons, Wesley Wallace, Anthony Person Jr. and James Person; 9 grandchildren, Tayaka, Wesley, Brandon, Talakya, Talaya, Sincere, Demario, Saniya and Kaydence; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Michael Person and Robert (Ella) Person; father-in-law, Arthur (Dianna) McGee; 4 sisters-in-law, Lela (Eric) Harvey, Theresa (Jerry) Walker, Mary (Keith) Gray and Grace Davis; 3 brothers-in-law, Arthur (Pamela) McGee, Darryl McGee and Omar (Teresa) McGee; special aunts, Cleora (Percy) Magee, Ceola Mosley, Odis Sue Person and Wilma Brodie; uncle, James Farrow; special cousins, Sandra Whirl and Anthony Bullock; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friend including special friends, Tony Lott, Fay Spheres, Lodette Balknight. Mr. Person was preceded in death by his children, Hubert and Herbert Person; parents, Hubert, and Aliner Person; siblings, Mary Lou Person, Lisa Mae Person, Hubert Person and James Person; and mother- in-law, Clementine McGee. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Carolyn Wallace and the Martin family, Larry Butler and Hubert Dean, Hospice and Hurley Medical Center.
