Mr. Anthony Lee Carter

CARTER, Mr. Anthony Age- 45, passed away Monday, March 16, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Carter will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Anthony Lee Carter was born June 2, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Richard and Melinda Carter. He was a resident of Flint, Michigan and attended Flint Northwestern High School. Anthony was employed at Boone’s House of Flowers for over 20 years. He had many church affiliations. Anthony enjoyed music, dancing, making floral arrangements and hanging out with friends. He also enjoyed helping others especially the elderly. Anthony was a very charismatic, kind genuine and loving man who would give his right arm just to help someone else. He was a superman. Mr. Anthony Lee Carter leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Mia; 2 daughters, Ciara Carter and Porsche Corley; son, Anthony Carter, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Makiley Corley, Kumaine Evans and Faith Carter, all of South Bend, IN; 2 sisters, Belinda Carter of Flint and Rosemary Eichelberger of Milwaukee, WI; 4 brothers, Freddie Carter, Richard Carter, Joseph Carter and Ivory Jones, all of Flint; 15 nieces; 16 nephews; aunt, Fannie Johnson; sisters-in-law, Sarah Brown, Darlene Gray, Aleta Turnipseed, Gloria (Louis) Stuckey, all of South Bend, IN, Min. Williamea Turnipseed of Chicago, IL and Cammie Thompsand of South Bend, IN; brother-in-law, Lavorn Eichelberger of Milwaukee, WI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Theodore German, Betty Boone, Lillian Henry, Barbara Stein, Benny Hays and Ralph Grier. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his son, Berven Carter; parents, Richard and Melinda Carter; sisters, Rosie Lee Carter and Annie Mae Wells; 3 brothers, Arklee Carter, Christopher Carter and Nathanial Carter; mother-in-law, Thelma Bridges.
