WESLEY, Mrs. Annie Mae - Age 80, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Rev. Gregory Cavette officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Tuesday. Mrs. Wesley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Annie Mae Wesley was born July 1, 1938 in Newton, Mississippi, the daughter of Cleo and Flora Mae Evans. After her marriage to George W. Wesley Jr., the couple migrated to Flint, Michigan where she resided until her death. Mrs. Wesley was a devoted wife, loving mother and a faithful servant of God. She held various positions of employment filling each with honesty, integrity and hard work. Mrs. Wesley was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church for many years and never missed an opportunity to praise God. No matter the situation, her faith was unwavering. Annie Mae lived a joyful life surrounded by her family and friends, whom she held dear. She had many interests and enjoyed an assortment of activities such as board games, playing cards, gambling and bingo. Annie Mae also loved fishing, spirituals, and listening as family read scriptures from the bible. She was beautiful inside and out, kind, loving and graceful. Annie Mae will be sorely missed by all that knew her, especially her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Annie Mae Wesley leaves to cherish her memory: 4 daughters, Jessie Faye (Henry) Jones, Gwendolyn Rene (David) Williams, Ernestine (Michael) Starling and Katherleen Wesley-Price (Kevin) Reid; son, George William (Saundra) Wesley III, Joe Wesley and Marvin Ester. all of Flint; step-son, Willie George Skinner of Newton, MS; grandchildren, Henry Jones, Maudrine Corthion, Maurice Jones, Yashia Thames, Katrina Williams, Regina Pollard, Antonio Jones, Cherrale Thomas, George Wesley IV, Lakisah A. Jones, Quincy Jones, Terrance Jones, Jasmine Starling, Latisha Wesley, Charmain Buckley, DeAndre Wilder, Fatima Waterson, Leondrew Wesley and Charlene Price; 1 great-grandchild; 2 nieces; 7 nephews; 3 sisters-in-law; the Jones family; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Annie Evans-Randolph and Kayla Green. Mrs. Wesley was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Wesley Jr.; daughters, Annie M. and Yolanda Wesley; granddaughter, Ladoris Jones; 6 great-grandchildren; parents, Cleo and Flora Evans; sisters, Olia Mae Wesley and Patricia Coleman; and nephew, David Wesley. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Gregory L. Cavette Sr. for answering our calls and praying for our family in our time of need.
