GODDARD, Missy Aniya - Age 4, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Greater Emmanuel Temple, 1117 E. Genesee Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Melvin Davis, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Aniya will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Monday. Aniya C. Goddard was born October 13, 2008 in Flint, MI to Bianca Logan and Nigel Goddard. Aniya was a resident of Flint, MI and a member of the Greater Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church. Her hobbies included dancing, blowing bubbles, singing and assisting cooking. Aniya’s favorite foods were chicken, bacon, pancakes, slushies, crème soda and powder (cornstarch). She enjoyed watching Bratz Babies, Tangled, Bolt, Pirates Bands of Misfits, Dora and SpongeBob. She liked to ride the train at the mall and also the stroller rides. She enjoyed hanging with family. Aniya was a “Diva”. She was feisty, intelligent, sassy, fun to be around and not afraid to tell you how she felt. Aniya was a miracle and a joy. She found a special place in everyones heart that she met. She will be missed by many. Aniya leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Bianca Logan; father, Nigel Goddard; grandparents, Elytn Wheeler of River Rouge, MI, Eartha Logan of Flint and John and Dalis Goddard of St. Thomas, USVI; brother, Nyiell Goddard of Flint; aunts, Monisa Logan of Elkridge, MI and Sheena Moore of Flint; uncles, Etienne Logan of Middletown, NY, Kevin Goddard of Clearwater, FL and Cameron Logan of Ghers, PA; and a host of cousin, other relatives and friends, including special friends, James Edmead of Houston, TX, David Westin of St. Thomas, USVI, and Daryll and Louraine Fleming of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carmon Moore; grandfather, Etienne Fox Logan, Sr.; great-grandmother, Shirley Moore; uncle, Lorenzo Smith, Sr.; great-uncles, Tyrone Smith, Alfred Smith, Curtis Smith, Joyce Porter and Neveline E. Logan, Jr.; great-aunt, Clare Smith; and great-grandfather, Neveline E. Logan, Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at U. of M. Mott Children’s Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI, Ronald McDonald house of Ann Arbor, MI, Greater Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church of Flint, MI and Sheena Moore of Flint, MI.
