HOSKINS, Mrs. Anita A. - Age 49, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 10AM Friday, March 7, 2008 at Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3502 Lapeer Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor Charles Twymon officiating, Rev. Marvin A. Jennings, Sr., Pastor. Interment Detroit Memorial Park Cemetery, 4280 E. 13 Mile Rd., Warren, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Friday. Mrs. Hoskins will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Thursday. Mrs. Anita Armstrong-Hoskins was born May 27, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. She was one of seven siblings that blessed the union of the late Eddie and Kathryn Armstrong. She received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior early in life. She received her Christian education as a member of Leland Baptist Church of Detroit, MI, Macedonia Baptist Church of Hamtramck, MI, and Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church of Flint, MI. She was active in various ministries at Macedonia Baptist Church. In 1974, Anita met, A. Wayne Hoskins and they married in holy matrimony on October 30, 1976. The Lord blessed them to have six children, three of which preceded her in death, Kendrick Wayne (deceased), Baby Boy (deceased), Anise Rashawn (deceased), Shantay L. Hoskins-Bobo (Marcus), Anthony W. Hoskins Jr. and Shanise L. Hoskins-Chaffin (Derick). Anita was educated in the Detroit Public School system and graduated from Pershing High School in 1975. She received her cosmetology training at Coleene School of Cosmetology in Detroit. Anita was employed as an instructor in cosmetology at Mott Community College, Genesee Area Skill Center, and Hair Force Academy. Anita also worked at J.C. Penny and Sally Beauty Supply. Left to cherish her memory: her loving husband, A. Wayne; 3 wonderful children; 2 sons-in-laws; granddaughter, Aubrianna; sister, Glenda; 5 brothers, Eddie, Jr. who preceded her in death, Larry, Ronald, Dietrich, who preceded her in death and Bruce; mother and father-in-law, Sylvester and Gladys Hoskins; a host of nieces and nephews; 1 uncle; 3 aunts; a host of god-children and 4 devoted friends, Darlene, Carolyn, Darlene "Auntie Doll" and Ophelia "Fee"; devoted neighbor, Peggy; and many loving students as well as friends.
