Mrs. Angela D. "Niecy" Jones

JONES, Mrs. Angela Denise - Age 63, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 10:30 AM Tuesday. Mrs. Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Angela D. Gavins-Jones was born May 1, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Barbara Jean and Samie Gavins. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1979. Was employed for Beecher HeadStart for over ten years. Angela enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, cooking, family gatherings and traveling. She also loved calling family on Sundays to see what was on their menu. Mrs. Angela D. Gavins-Jones leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Jerry Jones of Flint; children, Shalana Gavins, Tamika Gavins and Jeremy Gavins; grandchildren, Alajia Pace, Calvin Malakhi, Calhil Attyberry, Tyler Parks, Jeremy Gavins, Jr., TeShari Parks and Ka’Liyah Holland; sister, Lavonda Baker (Kimberly Lucas); brothers, Charles Lynn Gavins and Samuel (Shandolyn) Gavins; nieces, Vackysha (Dewayne) Langston, Jahnae Baker, Laila Bonner, and Ashanti Gavins; great niece, Nasiya Langston; nephews, Karron (Christian) Baker, Brandon Gavins and Anthony Gavins, Jr; great nephews, Cameron and Kaden Baker; aunts, Betty (Calvin) Mayberry; uncles, Charles and Joseph Baker; mother and father-in-law, Fred L and Jimmer Rea Jones, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mitchell and Sabrina Clark; brother-in-law, Fred L.
