Mr. Andre Earl "Dre Boogie" Branch

BRANCH, Mr. Andre Earl - Age 47, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, January 3, 2020 at Vernon Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 5802 Dupont St., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Douglas Banks, Host Pastor. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Branch will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, with family present to receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mr. Andre Earl Branch “Dre Boogie” was born October 8, 1972 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Lenise R. Branch and Johnnie Earl Bailey. Andre was a resident of Flint and a member of Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church. He attended Beecher High School, Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Baker College. Andre was employed by Genesee County Drain Commission. “Dre Boogie” was known throughout the community as a Disc Jockey. His favorite musical artists were “B.J.” and “Prince”. He was an avid sports enthusiast. Andre was very happy person, who loved everyone and was well respected. Mr. Andre Earl Branch leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Annitré Maire Branch “Punckin Face” and Anniya Jonae Branch; mother, Lenise Branch; step-father, Ricky Murphy; grandparents, Mary Alice Branch, all of Flint and Mr. J.T. Branch of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Devin M. Logan; aunts, Cherry Branch Grant (special aunt), Tracie Hured Richee, Evea Flood, Gyva Flood and Fayelena Flood; special uncle, Mr. Anthony (Tawana) Branch; a host other relatives and friends including cousins and special friends, Damond Branch, Adrien Grant, Whitney Grant, Tremondae Branch, Rummeal Branch, Quintin Patilla and many more; Sheri Logan, Janis Thorns, Denise Morgan, Stephanie Jones, Fatima Strong, Rodney Ott, Jeff Ursery II, Kurt Rogers, Darrick Collins, Benard Terry and many more. Mr. Branch was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Johnnie Earl “Turtle” Bailey; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur and James Anna Dunkling, Mr. Hodges T. Flood.
