WICKER, Ms. Amber Faith - Age 36 passed away Monday, January 22, 2024. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, February 8, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel 10:30 AM Thursday. Ms. Wicker will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Our beloved Amber Faith Wicker was born in Flint, Michigan to the union of Curtis Jerome Wicker Sr. and Deborah Dorcas Toles on September 11, 1987. Amber has one sister Natwana and two brothers, Curtis Jr. and Jerome. When Amber was a baby, she and her mom moved to Oklahoma to live with her grandparents. While there her grandfather, Rev. Raymond Toles baptized her at his church Goodwill Church of God in Christ. Amber’s grandmother affectionately called Mother Toles was instrumental and supportive in Amber’s education in the Oklahoma school system until she was 16 years old. In 2003, Amber returned to Flint, Michigan to live with her father, Curtis Wicker Sr. and attended Northern High School. Amber had Rheumatoid Arthritis and had to leave school early. She worked hard and diligently with this illness and finally completed her GED at Mott Educational Center in 2005. Amber was unable to work because of the severity of the arthritis. She never gave up or quit. Amber continued to pursue her education in a degree program online. Amber loved helping family members and friends and was known as a caregiver to many. She was known by her sister, Natwana, as being full of life and fun to be around. Amber always checked on you, calling everyone on a day-to-day basis. She was a very giving person. Her cousin Bianca remembers being known as her “favorite cousin”. Being a fun, loving person, she always liked to make you laugh and loved being around her family. God blessed Amber on January 23, 2020, with an adorable baby boy named Rise. Rise was the joy of her life. The following preceded Amber in death, her mother, Deborah Dorcas Toles Wicker; grandparents, Mary Toles, Rev. Raymond Toles Jr. and Ruby Williams; uncles, Michael Toles, Oliver Wicker, Sylvester Wicker, Allen Wicker and Marvin Lavender; and aunt, Sarah Lane Toles. Amber leaves to cherish her memory son, Rise Powell; father, Curtis Wicker Sr.; sister, Natwana Toles; brothers, Curtis Wicker Jr. Stephen Edwards and Jerome James; aunts, Julia Love, Diane Wicker, Rosie Wicker, Cheryl Wicker, Yolanda Williams, and Mary Toles-Bryce; uncles, Floyd Lavender, Donald Ray Wicker, Clifton Lee Wicker, Ron Toles Sr., Lester Toles, Anthony Toles, Johnny Toles, and Raymond Toles Jr.; close friend, Cameron Hunter and a hos
