Mr. Allen Dale Louis Sr.

LOUIS, Mr. Allen Dale Sr. - age 56, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 317 E. Hamilton Ave. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Supt. Lamar Griggs officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Louis will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Allen Dale Louis, Sr. was born March 28, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ocell and Bernice (Moss) Louis, Sr. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School “Class of 1976.” Allen was a former member of Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed at General Motors for 29 years and a member of UAW Local #599 and #598. Allen’s hobbies included: CB Club, bowling, playing cards, and dominoes, and watching basketball. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Doreen Cobb on July 19, 1980 and to this union 2 sons were born. Mr. Allen Dale Louis, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sons, Allen D. Louis Jr. (Brenda) and Christopher L. (La’Brea) Louis; 4 grandchildren, Dazhia Davis, DeAndre’ Davis, both of Georgia, Au’Dree Louis and A’Ja Louis both of Michigan; mother, Bernice (Moss) Louis; 3 sisters, Kenyetta Louis, Sherita Wilson and Yvette Flippin; 4 brothers, Robert L. Louis, David (Aileen) Louis of Michigan, Joseph (Lisa) Louis and Ray Flippin, Sr., all of Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; mother-in-law, Hazel Cobb; 8 sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Joyce, and Marjorie Louis, Lynda (Perry) Gardner, Debra Cobb, Denise (Rodney) Clay, Loretta (Jimmie) Bullock and Renee Cobb all of Flint; brother-in-law, LeRoy (Mary) Cobb; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Roderick LeGarde, Leonard “Disco” McNeil and Shirley Williams. Mr. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen Cobb-Louis; father, Ocell Louis, Sr.; step-mother, Maggie “Sue” Louis; grandparents, Robert Fair, Sadie Dukes, Nancy Moore and Willie L. Marrs; 3 brothers, Melvin, Ocell Jr. and Willie Louis. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Kiren, McLaren Hospice, Pastor Mark A. Jones, Sr. and the Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church family.
