HOLLAND, Mr. Alfred - Age 37, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007. Family hour 10AM Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Rev. Wallace Hill, III., officiating. Friends and family will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Tuesday. Mr. Holland will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, during his family hour only. Mr. Alfred Holland, Jr. was born in Flint, Michigan on November 13, 1969, the son of Alfred Sr. and Connie (Dean) Holland. He graduated from Northern High School, "Class of 1987" and immediately after, joined the United States Army, where he became a specialist in carpentry, masonry, sharp shooting and wheeled vehicles. Alfred served his term, receiving and honorable discharge. He obtained his CDL License from Baker College of Flint. Alfred continued his journey to become owner-operator and professional household mover for one of the largest moving company in the country CORD Moving and Storage an agent for North American Guidelines. He was a member of Greater Bethlehem Ministries C.O.G.I.C. He joined Bethlehem as a youth and assisted the Pastor and other youth with the building of the church. Alfred was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Tamika Fleming on May 12, 2001. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was very active in the lives of his children, nephews and nieces. Alfred enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a positive effect on everyone he came in contact with. Alfred always had an encouraging word to say "Be thankful and make the best of a situation because it could be worse". He was very hard worker and instilled that quality into the children of the family. Mr. Alfred Holland, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Tamika Holland of Flint, 2 sons, Terence Strong of Detroit, MI, Rashad Stokes of Fort Lauderdale, FL; 3 daughters, SaQuarius Holland, Aleysha Holland and Autumn Holland all of Flint; 2 stepchildren, Vinika Fleming and Vincent Fleming, Jr., all of Flint; parents, Alfred Holland, Sr. and Connie Dean Holland; 3 sisters, Tamare (Tracy) Barlow, Brenda Holland and Erica Clark; 2 brothers, James Holland and Turhan (Christina) Holland; sisters-in-law, Tracey (Corey Green) Montgomery, Teri (Jerome) Hood, Felicia (Will) Mack; brother-in-law, Harold Montgomery, Jr.; grandparents, Louvester Mae Webb, Bishop James Hill, Sr.; father-in-law, Harold Montgomery, Sr.; 4 uncles, James (Ruthie) Hill, Jr., Ares Hill, Terry Lee (Phyllis) Hill, James T. Webb, Jr.; aunt, Deborah Ann Webb; 4 nephews, Ke'Andre Holland, Johnathan Brown, Tallmadge Butler, Terrieon Robinson, Terry Robinson, Jr.; 7 nieces, Cheris Brown, KentiQuisha Holland, Kinaisha Russell, Tashsiona Kelly, Tracy Barlow, Oniste' Holland and Mygina Holland all of Flint, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends, Charles Drummer, Emmett Richardson, Reginald Smiley, Jerrod Fleming, Brian Joshua, Erice Brown and Johnnie Brown. Mr. Alfred Holland, Jr. was preceded in death by his grandfather, James T. Webb, Sr.; grandmother, Willie L. Hill; aunt, Brenda Joyce Hill; mother-in-law, Iola R. Montgomery.
