Mr. Albert Edward Ross Jr.

ROSS, Mr. Albert Edward Jr. - Age 48, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Ross will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Friday, March 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mr. Albert Edward Ross Jr. was born March 13, 1972 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Albert Sr. and Carrie Ruth Ross. Albert was a resident of Flint and graduated from Flint Northwestern High School. He was a member of Local #207 where he worked as a Asbestos Supervisor for over 15 years. Albert also worked for the City of Flint helping with lead pipe removal. He enjoyed traveling with family, fishing, bowling, cutting hair, playing Dominos and cooking. Albert really loved his entire family and was always on call when someone needed him. Flat tire, snow removal, even help when someone was in the street he would come running to help. Albert was the type of person always there to lend a hand. He was very close to his son and daughter, and raised them in his image. Albert always made time for his pride and joy, his grandchildren; trips to the park, beach or Chuck E Cheese, whatever Naomi, Nia and Deondrick “Son, Son” Jr. wanted, they got it. He remained very close to his former wife, Niquai Ross. The love remained between them until the very end. Mr. Albert Edward Ross Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: former wife, Niquai Ross; daughter, Kobe Marie Ross of Atlanta, GA; son, Deondrick Lee (Briona) Ross of Flint; grandchildren, Naomi Marie Ross, Nia Lee Ross and Deondrick Lee Ross Jr.; parents, Albert Sr. and Carrie Ruth Ross; grandmother, Jeanie Ross; sister, Jeanine Hall; brothers, Cedric (Donna) Ross and Derome (Chebon) Hopkins; a host of nieces including, LaQuesha Wright, Kamren Ross, Candance Ross, Janese Hall and Dalizhia Hodo; a host of nephews including, Justin Ross, Max Ross, Derome Hopkins Jr. and Amiri Hopkins; aunts, Barbara Smith-Ross, Joann Jordan, Doriscene (Candy) Jones, Berthola Altheimer, Lottie Ross, Doris Hall, Joyce Hall, Bernice Hall and Rachel (Rick) Smith; a host of uncles; a host of cousins whom he kept close to his heart; Mother Lillette McMullen; brothers-in-law, Antoine Shaw, Darwin McMullen Jr. and Troy McMullen; a host of other relative and friends including special friends, Rossi Jordan, Donnell Otis, cousins, Grady Hall and Anthony, Tangie (Shawn) Hall, Waneice (Charles) Brown; friend, Bill (Sharon) Ferguson; uncle, YC (Donna) Hall. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carrie and Bennie Hall, Otha Lee Ross Sr.; uncle, Otha Lee Ross Jr.; brother, Deon Hall; cousins, Dre “Scottie” Hall and Jerry Ross; father-in-law, Darwin McMullen.
