BROWN, Mr. Aaron Z. - Age 49, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Family hour 1:30 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Bishop Phillip Thompson, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home 1:30 PM Tuesday. Mr. Brown will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Aaron Zavon Brown was born June 6, 1974, in Flint, MI to Mrs. Jacqueline Brown and Mr. Ernest Morris. Aaron was a proud graduate of Flint Northern High, “Class of 1992.” He was a student athlete playing Varsity football in his junior and senior years. Aaron continued his education following his love of design, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Technology from Baker College of Flint. Aaron was employed by AECOM in Southfield, Michigan as a Civil Engineer, at the time of his transition. He was President and Founder of Premier Contracting specializing in design, remodeling, and repair of commercial and residential property. Aaron was continuously expanding his knowledge to ensure he was always ready for new trends in design and construction. Aaron grew up in the Redeemed Apostolic Church. He was baptized in the Name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Spirit at an early age. Aaron was very active in many aspects of the ministry. He was a member of the Trustee Board, Finance Committee, and always assisted his mother with interior design and working in the church kitchen. Aaron was affectionately known as the “Preaching Deacon”. Mr. Aaron Zavon Brown leaves to cherish his memory: fiancé, Dr. Tia Lewis; sons, Aaron, Jemini, Jalon, Marquavious, and Daishawn; and one daughter, Eyana; brother, Arnold (Kimberly) Brown Jr. of Flint, MI; sisters, Dr. Donyele Darrough, Esq. of Flint, MI, and CW4 (Ret) Felicia Banks of Fayetteville, NC; nieces, Sheonna, Dezireé, Talana, and Kendall; nephews, Phelan, Dismond, and Willie; grandmother, Ophelia Matlock; aunts, Caroline Dudley of Flint, MI and Teri Dudley of Grand Rapids, MI; uncles, Phillip (Brenda) Dudley of Flint, MI and Myron (Leslie) Dudley of Lansing, MI; mother-in-law, Sandra Lewis; a host of other relatives and friends including Charlie Cross. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Jacqueline Brown; father, Mr. Ernest Morris; son, Kyree Bankston-Brown; and brother-in-law, Major (Ret) Willie Talvin Banks Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to Henry Ford Hospital Pulmonary ICU staff, Suffragan Bishop Phillip (Valerie) Thompson and Bethlehem Temple Church family and to everyone who prepared a meal, sent condolences and prayed for us during this time of enormous loss.
