Mr. Terrence Teon Clark

CLARK, Mr. Terrence Teon - Age 64, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Ascension Genesys. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, January 19, 2024, at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment, Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Clark will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Death is no enemy to man. It is a friend that when the work of life is done, it cuts the cord that binds the human boat to earth that it may sail on smoother seas. On Wednesday January 10. 2024 unexpectedly a great sole transitioned from earth to the spirit realm. Terrence Teon Clark Sr. was born August 4, 1959 to Barbara Lee Clark and Melvin Cooley at Homer G. Phillips hospital St. Louis. Missouri. He graduated from Beaumont High School 1977in St. Louis Missouri. After high school Terrence earned a college degree in pre-law and obtained several post graduate certifications. His most recent certification achieved was from Michigan State University, School of Labor and Industrial Relations. During his career Terrence was a music producer and promoter, he owned a beauty/barber supply business, and an antique record shop. In his career he started off at the Frito-Lay Corporation and ended up long term at the Flint Housing Commission, a government agency connected to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Terry began working in property management and worked his way through the ranks up to the position of Executive Director of the entire agency. Through his work at Flint Housing Terrence strengthened the existence of the agency in the Flint community. Also, he strengthened the mission of FHC and improved the quality of life for Flint citizens. And enhance housing resources for the disadvantaged community. To complete his mission, as housing Executive Director, he developed new programs, formed new partnerships and brought community organizations, agencies and churches together. To mention a few he coordinated food drives, community events and job training programs. These programs are still benefiting people who are marginalized and have improved the quality of their lives. His biggest project was the evolution of the housing project Clark Commons that has evolved, is expanding and will change the lives of all who gain the opportunity of living there. More important Terrence was a Christian and a lifelong member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist church, recognized and respected by a number of churches and religious organizations throughout the community. Terrence Teon Clark Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: father, Melvin Cooley; special aunt, Wilma Jean Ahart-Johnson, both of St. Louis, MO; children, Darnell Smith, Renisha Thomas, both of Arlington, TX, Krystal Turner-Clark of Killeen, TX and his namesake, Terrence Teon Clark Jr. of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Taelor and Toren Alexander-Thomas, both of Arlington, TX and Jah Markus of Killeen, TX; siblings, dearly beloved sister, Rhonda Renee Clark of Grand Blanc, MI, Meloni Williams & husband Jerome Williams, Tiffany Slater & Micheal Slater; beloved brothers, William Kenneth Taylor Jr. & wife, Cydney Evelyn Taylor of Flint, MI, Reginald Lamar Tayor of Aurora, CO, Marchell Deronne Taylor & wife, Tisha Taylor of Denver, CO; brother-cousin, Willie Earl Johnson of St. Louis, MO; nieces & nephews, Autumn Moses & Donald Moses III, Latoya Taylor, all of Little Rock, AR, Alexandria Taylor, Kara Taylor, both of Aurora, CO, Markell D. & Brandie Taylor Jr. & children of Utah, Eric Washington, Brittany Washington, Breenae Washington, Donovan Slater, Donte Clark, Adonis Clark, and Jeremy Clark; god-mother, Brenda Floyd; god-sisters, Sandra & Jimmy Robinson, and Nakisha “Nikki” Floyd-McZee; god-brother, Anthony Floyd; a host of other relatives and close friend, Donald Moses Jr.; best friend and brother, Rodney Richardson, Kimmie Bowie, Duane Bailey, Reggie Mason, Gregory Jones also relatives, Edgar, Percy, Timothy and La Verne- “The Frank’s”.
