WHITE, Ms. Sherry Elaine - Age 53, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 106 E. Flint Park Blvd., with service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Daniel Smith officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. White will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, with the family present from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. On Saturday March 4, 2017, at 53 years of age Sherry Elaine White-Rauls departed this life at Hurley Medical Center. Sherry was born July 7, 1963 in Flint, Michigan, she was the 3rd child of the late William L. and Lucy (Cox) White. She graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1981.” Sherry continued her education at Davenport College and received an Associate Degree in Nursing. She was Substitute Teacher in the Beecher School District and Flint Community Schools. August 6, 1994, Sherry married the love of her life, Ricky Rauls and they were blessed with 20 years of marriage. She was a member of the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Choir Treasurer, Vacation Bible School Teacher, and sang in the Voices of Evergreen Choir. The last song she sang with the choir was “There’s A Leak In This Old Building.” Sherry was a bubbly fun loving person with a million dollar smile. She loved working with children, going shopping, especially to Wal-Mart, singing and spending time with her family. Ms. Sherry Elaine White-Rauls leaves to cherish sweet memories: loving and devoted husband, Ricky Rauls; son, Timothy Hatter Jr.; grandson, Timothy Hatter III; mother, Lucy (Cox) White; all of Flint; 2 sisters, Barbara (Larry) Marbley and Cathy (Carl) Hunt of Pine Bluff, AR; 3 brothers, Eric White, Ryan White, and Maureek (Rose) White, all of Flint; 7 aunts, Betty Johnson-Lamar, Arlene Cox, Jewel Cox, Christeen Cox, all of Flint, Lillian Brown, Lorene Crenshaw, both of Chicago, IL and Willie Ann Cox of Rison, AR; 4 nieces, Taneshia Hawkins of Decatur, MS, Kesha Marbley of Denver, CO, Tia Hunt of Pine Bluff, AR and Myeisha Wright; very special great-niece, Kimera-Lache White, both of Flint; 5 nephews, Quandreek White of Atlanta, GA, Ron Lamar White of Flint, LaRon Marbley of Pine Bluff, AR and Carl Hunt of Denver, CO; 4 great-nieces; 12 great-nephews; a host of cousin, other relatives and friend. Ms. Rauls was preceded in death by her father, William L. White; grandparents, Mack and Bettie Cox, Charlie and Annie Mae White; and brother, Ron White. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Daniel Smith and the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church family, special family friend, Pamela Turner, Hurley Medical Center nurses, Shari Barnes and Diane Welker, and the Lawrence E.
