KILGORE, Mr. Lloyd Gene - Age 65, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1083 E. Stewart Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Lewis Randolph, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Kilgore will repose in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 noon-8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Lloyd Gene Kilgore, Sr. was born April 2, 1948 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore retired after 40 years from General Motors in 2006 and was a member of UAW Local 599. His hobbies were: collecting cars, fishing and going to the Casino. Mr. Lloyd Gene Kilgore leaves to cherish his loving memory: wife and companion of 16 years, Carolyn Kilgore; 2 daughters, Nyquila Langley and NaTasha Kilgore-Seymore (Wayne Sr.) both of Shreveport, LA; son, Lloyd (Heather) Kilgore Jr. of Huntington Beach, CA; 2 step-children, Kim Hudson and Kenneth Boaz, Jr. of Rochester, NY; 9 grandchildren, Nicholas, Nigel, NaQuila, NaJee and Kala Langley, Julianna Kilgore, Jayne, Jalisa, and Wayne Seymore Jr., all of Shreveport, LA; step-grandchildren, Jamel Wearen, Javon and Yelena Boaz and Michael Hudson, all of Rochester, NY; sister, Leora (Nathaniel Sr.) Campbell of Flint; brother, Cloyd Kilgore Jr. of Seattle, WA; sister-in-law, Laverne McGowan; 2 brothers-in-law, Thomas (Veronica) Brown and Billy (Eula) Brown; 2 nephews, Nathaniel (Renee) Campbell Jr. and Anthony Kilgore, all of Flint; 2 nieces, Precious Brown of Mt. Morris, MI and Angela Campbell of Flint; 2 aunts, Cora and Josephine Dunn, both of Seattle, WA; surrogate brothers, George Johnson of Flint and Robert Spearman of Indianapolis, IN; numerous cousins including Dennetta Waters of Flint; a host of relatives and friends including the Brazle, Campbell, Dunn, Granberry, Hicks, Jones, Massey, O’Guinn, Wilson, and Spearman families; lifetime friends, Jimmy Wilson and Willie (Dorothy) Fields. Mr. Kilgore was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Kilgore; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd (Clara) Kilgore; sister, Linda Kilgore; grandparents, George and Mae Etta Dunn and Lonnie and Leora Kilgore; 7 aunts and uncles.
