Mr. Kevin Lamot Jones

JONES, Mr. Kevin Lamot - Age 51, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Mausoleum of Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd., Pastor Rabon Turner, officiating. Mr. Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Kevin Jones was born June 25, 1972, in Flint, Michigan, the second son of Ardell Kitty Jones. Kevin graduated from Northwestern High School in 1990. He worked at Creative Foam in Fenton, MI, for 25 years, where many of his co-workers became his extended family. Kevin had a deep appreciation for music and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, and boxing with friends and family. Kevin Jones leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Zykeesha Gee of Flint, MI; brother, Roddy (Chandra) Jones of Springfield, VA; sister, Tracy L. Jones of Dallas, GA; three nieces, April Whitaker, Destiny McClain, and Ardajah Jones; two nephews, Artez and Avery Jones; cousins, French Jones, Kim Jones, Sadiyah Jones, Alethia Jones, Anisa Westbrook, Deane Westbrook, Joshua Fenster, Lawanda Jones, Crystal Rice, and many other cousins; his god-daughter Maurquisha Lever; and a host of relatives and friends, including special Friends: Darris ‘Big D’ Renfro, Pendrel Robinson, Dekova Cooper, Cedric Taylor, Maurice Lever, Joe Wright, Michael Harris, Marcus Montgomery, and Paulette Backstrom Wallace. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Ardell Kitty Jones-Broadway; grandfather, French Jones, and grandmother, Claudia Jones; uncles Murray, French, William, James, and Albert Jones; aunt Pinky Nell Sykes; and special cousins Margaret and Leron Hooper. The family would like to express gratitude to the ICU physicians, nursing team, and other medical professionals at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI, for the care and kindness exhibited throughout his time there. We would also like to thank his Creative Foam work family for their continued support throughout his illness. May his memory continue to warm your hearts.
