BURNETT, Mrs. Juanita - Age 79, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at her residence. Family hour 10AM Saturday, September 1, 2018 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10AM Saturday. Mrs. Burnett will lie in state in the Chapel and may be viewed 12PM - 8PM Friday. Mrs. Juanita Burnett was born September 1, 1938 in Franklin County, Mississippi, the daughter of Alma Brown and Clement McClain. She was a resident of Flint, Michigan. Juanita was employed as a Bank Teller in Brookhaven, MS and Chicago, IL. She enjoyed singing, dancing and watching her favorite TV show, Wheel of Fortune. Juanita also enjoyed planting flowers, cooking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Juanita Burnett leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Daisy Burnett of Flint, Mazie Benson Howard of Brookhaven, MS and Annette Burnett of Flint; grandchildren, Felicia and John Patterson, Charles Benson, Kentory Benson, Bobby Benson, Steven and Rhonda Lenoir, Erica Lenoir, April Lenoir, Samantha Lenoir and Terrell Lenoir, all of Brookhaven, MS, Tonya and Joseph Nichols, Latoya Burnett, Jeffery Burnett, Terence and Chaunte Burnett, Deandre Burnett, Kadijah and Henderson Greene, all of Flint, Kristopher Lewis of Chicago, IL and Charmayne Thompson of Byron, MS; 31 great-grandchildren including special great-grandchildren, Kavarius Burnett, Lanya Burnett and Tianna Robinson, all of Flint; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Evangelist Pearlean Price and Florence (Jesse) Thomas, all of Flint; brother-in-law, Edward King; a host of nieces including special nieces, Lucinda Torres, Janice Jones, Virginia Ward-Coleman and Angela Ward; a host of nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Betty and Robert Smith of Flint. Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Burnett; daughter, Helen Burnett; son, Larry Wilcher; parents, Alma Brown and Clement McClain; 7 sisters; 2 brothers; and 2 grandsons.
