WATSON, Mr. Colliard Smith - Age 51, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Family hour 10AM Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 735 E. Wager St., with funeral services commencing at 11AM. Pastor James Waldon, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Tuesday. Mr. Watson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mr. Colliard Watson was born September 2, 1955 in Flint, Michigan the son of Harvey and Leanna Waton. He attended Flint Community Schools and graduated from Northwestern High School "Class of 1975." Colliard was united in marriage to Mary Payton on November 10, 1995. He was a member of Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church and employed by Brighton Interior. Colliard was very competitive and was good at everything he did including playing cards, horseshoes, and dancing. He loved to dress in nice suits and shoes. Colliard loved his dogs and spending time with his family and friends. We will miss the unique names he had for everyone and his sense of humor. Mr. Colliard Watson leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Mary Watson; daughter, Keba Watson; son, Shannon Baker; stepsons, Alexgandro Payton and Jonathan Whitson; grandchildren, Shannon Baker, Jr., Tache Baker, and Prince Payton; godson, Harrison Watson; 4 sisters, Carrie Watson, Juanita Watson, Rose (Keith) Brown and Bertha Watson; 5 brothers, Harvey (Lynn) Watson Jr., Andrew, Larry (Thelma), Anthony (Brenda), Joseph (Audrey); sister in-laws, Pauline Ward and Alice Payton; brother in-law, Edward Ward; father in-law, Paul Ward; 4 uncles, 5 aunts, including special aunt, Roberta Tigner; a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Colliard Watson was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Leanna Watson; sister, Annie Watson, mother in-law, Helen Payton and nephew Antione Coulter. The family would like to thank the staff at Henry Ford Hospital, Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, and numerous family and friends.
