LANGSTON, Mr. Brachard - Age 20, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at Cathedral of Faith Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 6031 Dupont St. with funeral service commencing at 11:30 a.m. Supt. Christopher Martin officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Friday. Mr. Langston will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2-8 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Brachard Lance Langston was born May 16, 1991 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Teresa T. Langston and Gregory T. James. Brachard was a resident of Flint (Beecher) and graduated from International Academy of Flint. He was a student at Wayne State University studying Sports Medicine. Brachard worked summer programs for the Genesee County Land Bank under the supervision of Minister Carl Arthur. He also volunteered at Hurley Medical Center (Cardiology) and volunteered for several political campaigns. Brachard was a member of Cathedral of Faith C.O.G.I.C. His hobbies were basketball, watching sports, movies, playing video games, texting and spending time with friends being the life of the party. Mr. Brachard Lance Langston leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Teresa T. Langston of Flint and Gregory T. James of Waukegan, IL; grandmother, Dorothy L. (Fredrick) Williams-Smith of Flint; 6 sisters, Ciera Q. Langston of Flint, Vernita (Tyrese) Marshall-Frazier, Tiara Mordica, both of Chicago, IL, Brittany James of Kalamazoo, MI, Shakayla Lee of Ann Arbor, MI and Jamika Davis of Flint; 1 brother (twin), Brandon L. Langston; true love, Breanna Moon of Newport News, VA; 2 nieces, Tytiyona Frazier and Tania Smith, both of Chicago, IL; 4 nephews, Jeramie Tucker of Flint, Raymond Bryant, Tyrese Frazier, both of Chicago, IL and Jaylyn Benson-Lee of Ann Arbor, MI; 5 aunts, Kesi (JaQuan) Dones, Rekiyah Williams, Hedya Lewis, all of Flint; Tammy Farmer and Tonja Jackson, both of Muskegon, MI; 3 uncles, Officer Joey D. Williams of Muskegon, MI, Sgt. Darryl James of McPherson, GA and Jeffery James of Flint; a host of cousins, special cousin, Quinn Langston McNeal of Flushing, MI; a host of other relatives and friends, honorary brothers, Henry Jordan, Charles Warner-Hilliard, Justin Pridgeon, Brenton Lawson, Austin Young and Kaylin Peterson. Mr. Langston was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph L. Williams; great grandmother, Van Netter Williams; grandmother, Hilda Dorsey-James and great grandmother, Delores James and great grandparents, Napoleon and Allie Mae Langston.
