LEWIS, Ms. Angelia Yvonne - age 47, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at her residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church, 5802 Dupont St. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Byron C. Moore Host Pastor, Rev. Roosevelt Brown officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Lewis will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 3 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Angelia Yvonne Lewis was born December 11, 1966 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ira Lee and Agnes Vivian Lewis. She graduated Beecher High School “Class of 1985” and was a member of Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church. Angelia was employed at The Flint Journal for 17 years in the Editorial Department, Strive for 2 years and as Human Resources Assistant for the City of Flint. She enjoyed Event Planning, doing Makeup, dancing, cooking and fashion. Ms. Angelia Y. Lewis leaves to cherish her memory: spouse, Roderick Johnson; 3 daughters, DeOndria Lewis of Flint, Denieka Wicker of Washington, DC and Jasmin Simmons of Flint; son, Robert Wicker, Jr. of Flint; parents, Ira Lee and Agnes Vivian Lewis; sister, Augusta Isom; brother, Joseph (Lisa Moore) Lewis, Sr. of Clarksville, TN; niece, Donna Isom; 6 nephews, Kevin Isom, David Isom, Kirk Kelso, Joseph Lewis, William McNeal and Julian Lewis; 3 aunts, Ruthie Mae Vincent of Wilmar, AR, Marva McDaniel (Otis) of Flint and Sandra Lewis of Grand Blanc, MI; uncle, Welton (Carolyn) Lewis of Flint; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Monique Cole of Grand Blanc, MI, Sharmee Brown of Charlotte, NC, special cousin, Yvonne Lewis of Novi, MI, Carmen Wallace of Flint, DeAnna Jones, Tammy Williams, the City of Flint and The Flint Journal families. Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by grandparents, Julian and Hazel Gragg, Thaddeus and Verna Lewis; aunts, Margaret (Mickey), LeDora, Lettie and Pricillia; uncles, GW, QT, Bobby, Ulyess, Lamar and Raphus.
